Ladder Planter

I had this old ladder in my garage. It was no longer safe to use but it seemed such a shame to through it away. I decided to use it and some pallets to make a ladder plant stand or planter.

First I got it sawed down and screwed back together in a smaller form. I had another rummage in the garage a found some dark grey paint left over from another project. As the ladder was very tatty I gave it a couple of coats of paint.

Got some wooden pallets broken down into slats and pulled all the nails from them.

I got the salts planed down tot he same width and cut to the sizes I needed. Then I could nail them together to form boxes. I applied some Tung oil to finish them.

The boxes could be placed onto the runs of the ladder and screwed into place.

The last job was to fill the boxes up with plant pots and that’s in all done. For more information about how I did this project please watch the YouTube video bellow. Thank you
