Wine Rack

Last time I made a some vegetable storage crates to fit into an old fireplace. This time I am making a wine rack to fit on top of it.

I started by making the carcass for the rack out of some MDF. I used my track saw to cut the parts and then got them glued and screwed together.

To hold the wine bottles I used some two hole saws to drill some holes in some oak. The first saw was just bigger than the neck of the bottle and the second just bigger than the base.

I drilled the holes in the centre of the wood and then I could rip the wood in half on the table saw, creating semi circular pieces.

These bit then got screwed into the cabinet and finished with tung oil. Then it could be installed on top of the vegetable creates.

Thats it all done. For more information on how I made this please watch the YouTube video bellow.
