Pallet Wood Garden Bar

palletbar.jpg

I was asked to make a pallet wood garden bar for a friend. The simplest way is to base it around an existing pallet but this needed to fit in the back of a car so I had to start from scratch.

The first job was to brake the pallets down into slats. I used a combination of a breaker bar and a car jack for this.

With all the stats removed I could take them into the workshop and get all the nails removed.

I could then get it all put back together using glue and screws. I added a shelf inside for some bottles to go on.

I took the bar outside and gave it a couple of coats of exterior paint. When the paint had dried I attached the bar top that I had made from some more pallet slats.

I decided to add the word BAR to the front so printed the letters off and got them attached to some scraps of wood. I then used the bandsaw to cut them out.

I painted the lettres in a contrasting colour and got them screwed onto the front of the bar.

Thats it all done for more information about how I made this please watch the YouTube video bellow.
